Kwa River where the fall cascades down resistant basement rocks, is located in the Oban division of the Cross River National Park. A deep plunge pool forms at the bottom of the waterfall which is characterised by its arranged staircase of 234 steps from the top to bottom. The nearby Kwa River Sand Beach makes the falls, Nigeria’s own tropical paradise.

OBUDU MOUNTAIN RESORT: This resort which is also known as Obudu Cattle Ranch is one of Africa’s finest and most spectacular tourist destinations. The resort is located in the highlands and deep tropical forests of Cross River State.

AGBOKIM WATERFALLS: Agbokim Waterfalls is made up of seven streams cascading over a steep cliff which provides seven faced waterfalls. The water fall lies directly on the Cross River where it descends through the tropical forest.

The spectacular waterfall is a breath-taking and lush green scenery, valleys, steep hills and lush green vegetation. It is an attractive tourist spot and an ideal place for picnics and a break from the city life.

CALABAR CARNIVAL: The carnival has been described as “Africa’s Biggest Street Party” begins every 1 December and lasts until 31 December. The purpose is to entertain millions of spectators within the state, outside the state and foreigners. It is one of the major tourist attractions in the world.
